Bio-Orgonomy and Orgone: The History and How I Work With It

Where the idea of orgone came from, why mainstream science never accepted it, and how I use Bio-Orgonomy as a tradition of working with a space.

Of all the practices I offer, Bio-Orgonomy is the one people ask about with the most curiosity, and sometimes the most suspicion. That is fair. The word "orgone" comes with a complicated history, and I would rather tell it honestly than leave it out.

So here is where the idea comes from, what I do with it, and just as important, what I do not claim.

Wilhelm Reich and the idea of orgone

Wilhelm Reich was an Austrian psychoanalyst, a student of Freud in Vienna in the 1920s. Over time he moved away from the mainstream of his field and developed his own ideas about a universal life energy. In the late 1930s he gave it a name: orgone.

Reich believed orgone filled the atmosphere and living things, and that it could be gathered and concentrated. He built boxes he called orgone accumulators, layered from organic and metal materials, and he wrote about them at length.

Here is the part that matters for an honest conversation. Mainstream science did not accept orgone. Reich's experiments were not confirmed by other researchers, and in the 1950s the US Food and Drug Administration took legal action over the claims made for his accumulators. The story ended badly: a court order, the destruction of his books and devices, and Reich's death in a federal prison in 1957.

I tell this story because I think you deserve to know it. When I use the word orgone, I am not presenting it as established physics. I am speaking from within a tradition, the way one might speak of qi in Feng Shui or of light and vessels in Kabbalah.

After Reich

Reich's ideas did not disappear. In the decades that followed, other people took them in their own directions, some close to his original writing and some far from it.

One branch you may have seen is orgonite: small objects cast from resin with metal shavings and often a crystal inside. Orgonite became popular in the early 2000s, long after Reich, and it was not part of his own work. People use it today as a decorative and symbolic object in their homes.

Another branch is Bio-Orgonomy, an approach associated with the practitioner Justin Welz, which brings the idea of life-force energy into a gentle, hands-on practice focused on balance and relaxation. This is the lineage closest to how I work.

How I work with it

For me, Bio-Orgonomy is a way of paying attention to the life in a space and in a person, in the same family as the other traditions I practice. It sits naturally beside Feng Shui, which looks at how energy moves through a home, and beside Kabbalistic work, which brings blessing and intention.

In practice, that means:

  • Attention to the space. Where does a room feel heavy, cluttered or still? Where does it feel open?
  • Calm and presence. A session is quiet. Many people describe it simply as a rare hour of rest.
  • Intention. We decide together what you would like more of: ease, focus, warmth at home.

What I do not claim

I want to be very clear here, because a lot is said about orgone online that I do not stand behind.

  • I do not claim that orgone or orgonite protects anyone from EMF, Wi-Fi, 5G or anything else of that kind.
  • I do not claim any physical or medical effect on the body. Bio-Orgonomy is not medicine and does not replace it.
  • I do not promise outcomes. A session is a spiritual and reflective experience, and what you take from it is your own.

If you are dealing with a physical or emotional concern, please see a doctor or a licensed professional. I am always happy to work alongside that care, never instead of it.

What a session looks like

A Bio-Orgonomy session with me starts, like all my work, with a conversation. I ask what brought you, what is happening at home, and what you hope to feel when you walk through your own door.

Then we move into the quiet part. You stay fully clothed and comfortable, and the session moves slowly, with long pauses. If we are working with your home, we walk through it together and look at the places that feel stuck. Some people like to finish with a candle and a few words of blessing.

At the end, we talk about what you noticed. I usually leave you with one or two small things to try at home, such as clearing a corner, opening a window at a certain time of day, or a short ritual you can repeat on your own. If you would like a place to start right away, my salt clearing ritual is a gentle one.

Is it for you?

Bio-Orgonomy suits people who are curious, open to a quiet experience, and comfortable with the idea that this is a tradition rather than a science. If that sounds like you, read more on the Bio-Orgonomy page, or start with the bigger picture in What is energy clearing?.

And if you have questions, about the history or about a session, write to me on WhatsApp. I am happy to talk it through in English or in Hebrew.
